Alexi Chile-ben született, de Latin-amerikai hazáját hamar el kellett hagynia és a hűvös skandináv városba, Stockholm-ba kellett költöznie. A svéd fővárosban nőtt fel és 15 évesen már az egyik helyi rádióban volt saját műsora. A 80-as évek közepén beleszeretett a hip-hop, R&B és soul stílusokba, mely ágazatok késztették arra, hogy a zenével foglalkozzon és az egész karrierjére nagy hatással voltak. A 80-as évek végén Spanyolországba utazott ahol felfedezett egy számára teljesen új műfajt és ez a műfaj nem más volt mint a house. Amikor visszatért Svédországba, az elektronikus zene iránti érdeklődése kiteljesedett és elkezdte saját ötleteit megvalósítani. Ebben nagy segítség volt egyik jó barátja a szintén svéd Kari Pekka Lekebusch aka Cari Lekebusch. Közös project-be kezdtek és megszületett Alexi első lemeze a ’Life on the Other Side’ mely a svéd Loop Records-nál jelent meg. A korong megjelenése után ”befogadta” őt a szcéna és rengeteg kiadónál megfordult, olyanoknál mint a Raw Elements, az Earthtones vagy a Plastic City. A 90-s évek közepén New York-ba költözött és elkezdte felfedezni a helyi éra sajátosságait, valamint tudását is tovább fejlesztette. A zeneírás mellett természetesen a lemezpörgetés is nagyon foglalkoztatta és egyre több meghívást kapott a világ különböző pontjairól. Egyedi stílusa szépen kirajzolódott és egyre több zenét kezdett írni, melyeket rengeteg álnév alatt adott ki, a legismertebbek az ADNY és a Leiva project-ek. Egyik nagylemezét az utóbbi álnévvel adták ki 1999-ben a Plastic City-nél. Eddigi karrierje során megszámlálhatatlanul sok zenét írt és rengeteg nagyszerű producertársával ült össze egy-egy zene erejéig, olyan művészekkel dolgozott már együtt mint Jesper Dahlback, Casey Hogan vagy Lucas Rodenbush aka E.B.E. Már túl van az 50. megjelenésén is és remélhetőleg még nagyon sok kellemes percet fog nekünk okozni.
